Registrar of Zambia Open University visits Toong Wah Cave Temple

The registrar of Zambia Open University, Dr. Daniel Ndudzo, visited Toong Wah Cave Temple last June during his stop at Open University Malaysia, (Perak Regional Centre) in Ipoh.

Dr. Richard briefed Dr. Daniel on OUM's operations

Daniel was a on working visit to Open University Malaysia (OUM) campus in KL and then took time off to see some of the beautiful places in Perak. He also to the opportunity to visit rubber and oil palm plantations.

Dr. Daniel was met on arrival by Dr. Richard Ng, Director of OUM Perak. He was briefed on the operations of the university especially on how the adult learners were supported in their studies. OUM Perak currently has 4,000 students of whom half are still receiving their services actively every semester. It is operating in 3 locations in Perak; Perak Learning Centre (Jln Lim Bo Seng, Ipoh), Greenhill Learning Centre (Persiaran Greenhill, Ipoh) and Institut Perguruan Malaysia (Ulu Kinta).

The Toong Wah Cave Temple was located about 15 minutes East of Greenhill Learning Centre. Dr. Daniel arrived at Toong Wah Cave Temple about 3.00pm. He was met by temple care taker Mr. Chang. Dr. Daniel later signed the guest book. He was briefed about the 150 years history of the temple.





At the ed of the visit, Dr. Daniel said he has never such a beautiful cave temple before. He was amazed by the beauty of Ipoh.
